VENTO
The Vento air purification system is a cutting-edge air filtration
device. It blends two technologies, activated carbon filtration
(ACF) and photocatalytic oxidation (PCO), for unrivaled removal of
volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and airborne pathogens from our
apartments and classrooms.This hybrid ACF + PCO technology is more
than ten years in the making and is now patent-pending.
Advanced prototyping
Originally conceptualized during a PhD trajectory and studied using digital simulations, our multidisciplinary team of designers and biochemists meticulously developed and prototyped a completely working version for lab testing with accompanying software. The iterative process involving multiple prototypes culminated in a final design and model cut out of expanded polypropylene, which was delivered to our client, Vento NV, for further development.
